Scott Ellis was born in West Virginia, but grew up in Eau Gallie. He graduated from Eau Gallie High School in 1976 and joined the Air Force where he served until 1980, leaving as a Sergeant. Scott earned a Bachelors in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida in 1983, following it up with an MBA in 1985. Between 1984 and 2000, Scott worked for RCA, Northrop Grumman, and Harris. He served as Brevard County Commissioner from 1993 to 1996. In November 2000, Scott Ellis was elected as the Clerk of Court and is currently still serving Brevard County citizens in that capacity.

The Thousands Islands deal went through Tuesday, October 23, as had been planned a few weeks ago, but temporarily derailed by an accidental ‘no’ vote. While most have had their attention directed to the Brevard County planned purchase of the economically unbuildable Thousand Islands in Cocoa Beach for triple the appraised price, sliding in under the rug is another purchase of far more mammoth proportions.

The State Auditor is onto the same thing the Brevard County Clerk’s Office has fought for over a year, buying land with inflated appraisals.
